Instagrammer posts video of friend driving at 184kmh along expressway, says 'speeding is not okay'

Stomper Jack was shocked when he saw that a girl posted a video of her friend speeding at 184kmh along an expressway.

The video, which was posted on Instagram Stories, caught Jack's attention on Friday (Oct 30) at 4.50am and he shared it with Stomp.

In the video, the youth inserted a caption that said: "speeding is not okay".

Her friend can be seen driving at speeds of up to 184kmh, according to the speedometer.

"I cannot believe that she posted a video of her friend speeding even though she knows that, well, speeding is not okay," Jack said.

"I feel for those people who were driving near them. It must have been very unsafe.

"It is also very disrespectful for other road users as serious accidents could have happened."

Under the Road Traffic Act, those who drive a motor vehicle on a road recklessly, or at a speed or in a manner which is dangerous to the public, shall be guilty of an offence.

This is not the first time youths have posted videos of their friends speeding on the road.

On Oct 14, a Secondary 4 girl posted a video of her friend speeding at 177kmh along the expressway.
